October 2026 · own rack
Own machine. Own worlds. Own code. 120 hours a week, one rack, one developer. Shop and ranks keep it alive. What that costs a month sits further down.
All of Minecraft runs on a Dell PowerEdge R740xd. Two Intel Xeon Silver 4214, 24 cores, 48 threads, 2.2 GHz base, turbo up to about 3.2 GHz, about 252 GB RAM. Each world sits on its own machine. The rest of the host holds website, data and backups.

The worlds hold about 14 vCPU and about 71 GB RAM. In the coming weeks two new CPUs, then 80 cores. We say the day first. About half a day down on that day.
120 hours a week is about 520 hours a month. Three 40-hour jobs one person does alone: plugins, worlds, website, app, Discord, tickets, tick time. Nexus does this themselves. The shop does not pay out three salaries. That is the market if the network is to keep running this way.
One senior dev role roughly 7,000-10,000 € a month, gross plus employer share. Times three: 21,000-30,000 € development only.
Freelance 60-90 €/h times 520 hours: 31,000-47,000 € a month. Buying in, not what Nexus pays. The yardstick if nobody does this themselves.
Edit, clips, production and similar running items. Extra, next to hardware and code. Without it Nexus City stays invisible.
VAT on shop buys goes to the state, not into the server. Power, uplink and tax advisor are rough ranges, not a pasted receipt. Video 400-600 euros is the fixed production block.
R740xd 24/7 plus cooling, UPS, switch. Roughly 0.4-0.8 kW all day, not a copied power bill.
Business line, traffic, DDoS protection so join holds. A range, not a contract paste.
Worlds, website, data. NAS and copies run on the same power and rack.
nexus-city.net and certificates, spread across the month.
Plus a small fixed fee. Goes to the payment provider, not into the server.
Accounting, tax advisor, legal. HeimaWa Kft. holds nexus-city.net. Small company with a shop, rough estimate.
Ranks, crystals, cases, pass, founder, donations. The shop is fuel. Voting helps without money.
Monthly ranks and lifetime. Speed and comfort, not a required buy.
Premium currency and season stuff. The same things stay earnable.
If you want to back extra, without a forced rank.
Voting costs no money and still helps. Lists, reach, daily crate.
Because the network does not run on air. Shop and ranks pay for power, hardware, updates and video. Everything that matters stays earnable. Money cuts time, it is not the only door.
Yes. One developer, full week plus nights: plugins, worlds, website, app, Discord, support and performance. About 520 hours a month. Three full-time jobs in one person.
Market, not a payslip. One senior dev role in the EU costs a company roughly 7,000-10,000 euros a month. Three roles: 21,000-30,000. Nexus does this themselves. The shop does not pay out three salaries. That is the market if the network is to keep running this way.
Every month a fixed range goes into YouTube, clips and production. Extra, next to hardware and code. Without it Nexus City stays invisible.
No. Hardware, uplink and tax advisor are rough monthly ranges (operations about 350-800 euros, company 200-400 euros). Video 400-600 euros and the market figure for development are the clear blocks. VAT on shop buys goes to the state.
No. Voting costs nothing. Playing keeps the network alive. The shop is speed, not the ticket in.
The shop helps. Voting helps without money. Playing helps most. IP nexus-city.net.
The full scope is on one page. Every bench, every recipe, every app module. Dungeons follow as their own world.
